Make More Cash from Your Blog Articles
Making more cash from your blog you may have found is hard to pin down and results all over the map. What makes one article take off and another not perform at all despite pouring your heart into it? Sometimes the focus is too narrow but other times, well who knows? According to Yaro Starak who’s blog is called www.blogmastermind.com you need several pillar articles to prop up your blog and get traffic flowing. A pillar article is one that is wildly successful and will make you more cash. Once you are recognized in the blog community traffic and linking will start to happen and turn your traffic from a trickle to a flood. And it doesn’t hurt to recognize others as I have done here and provided a link to Yaro’s site. Yaro has obviously built authority as a blogger.

What Makes an Irresistible Blog Post or Article?
You will see from the plethora of articles out there that are making more cash for their blogger, that they are often “how to” articles. These are the most popular form of post. The title matters too. Would you read: “How To Make Yourself Totally Irresistible To The Opposite Sex” or “How To Get A Date” (I hope you said the first title or I’m in trouble) However there’s nothing wrong with writing two similar articles with different titles as a form of A:B testing.
I have also seen list articles do well too. These articles list points. For instance “Five Things You Must Do On A First Date”. This article could be spun into another form of training article titled “Why She’ll Never Give You A Second Date”
Business articles, to be read, must solve a problem. These articles will need to be brief and to the point. Remember though that a very short article will not be indexed by Google so keep the article to about 500 words or more. (Google doesn’t release the exact number of words but you will be safe at about 500) Having said that don’t leave your readers thinking there was so little your article wasn’t worth the read.
Try to use bullet points in your articles to increase readability. The longer someone is reading your article the more likely an ad will be clicked.
Business people being busy, will not take the time to research the topic unless it is crucial to their business therefore your article must end up on page one of Google and never more than page 2. I use a product called Inbound Writer (online) to search engine optimize (SEO) my articles. You get 4 free articles per month per email address and then the price gets way too high for any hubber to use. The nice thing about this product for hubbers is that it gives you instant feedback on what is good and what doesn’t help. You get to understand what SEO is all about when using it and you can become less dependent on it. All of my active hubs have had Inbound Writer help or I have used my own intuition developed from using this product.
I also think business owners want answers to specific questions with step by step reading for clarity. There are too many marketing articles that have no real outcome. (Just like so many SEO articles as well). You can try a title like "5 Ways to Get Other Business Owners in your Neighbourhood Buying from You" and then follow through with 5 specific strategies for business owners to use.
And since I mentioned irresistible titles earlier how could you resist a Hub titled "Gain 20% more market share by tonight?”
Finally keep writing in your area(s) of specialty. Once you have several articles under your belt you begin to gain authority. Other writers on the internet will start linking to you. You can interlink your articles where possible and build up more readership.
So just a brief recap:
- Pillar (hot) articles bring traffic regularly
- Use “list” or “how to” articles
- Have articles that are easy to read and to the point but keep to 500-1000 words
- Have irresistible titles and introductory phrases
- Write good content with SEO qualities so people find you and come back
- Build authority by not being too scattered.
